Wolfgang J. Kroczek of Lynden passed away on Jan. 5, 2016. He was born in Berlin, Germany, on Oct. 16, 1922, and survived a prisoner of war camp in World War II. He moved to Canada with his family in 1954. He worked hard all his life and was involved in many business ventures in Canada and in the United States, where he had lived since 1998.
He loved music, dancing and traveling and was a voracious reader and self-educated man. He was generous and loving with compassion for his fellow man.
Wolfgang is survived by his loving family and many friends.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 13, in Immaculate Conception Church, 8842 119th St., Delta, B.C. A viewing will be at noon, followed by a celebratory mass at 1 p.m. and a burial to follow at Valley View Cemetery in Surrey, B.C.
