Tracy Smith was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2023. She was born in the Netherlands on Nov. 30, 1941, to parents Jacob and Pearl (Bajema) Tiemersma. The family immigrated to Everson in 1947.
After graduating from Lynden Christian High School, Tracy completed training at St. Luke’s Hospital and worked as an operating room technician.
In 1974, she met Harvey Smith, the love of her life. They married in 1976 and made their home in Everson.
Harvey preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 2023. Tracy is survived by son Terry Smith, brother Harry Tiemersma and wife Marie, sisters-in-law Jacquelyn Smith, Mary (Tiemersma) Timmer, and Cobie Tiemersma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Nooksack Valley Reformed Church, 602 East Second St., Nooksack, WA 98276.
The graveside committal will be Saturday, Aug. 26 in Nooksack Cemetery at 10:15 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. memorial service at Nooksack Valley Reformed Church. Reception following.
