Tom was born in Bellingham on July 6, 1956 to Orville and Frances VanderYacht.
Tom attended Ferndale schools and had a love for farming, working for many local farmers. Predeceased by his parents, Tom is survived by his brothers, Del of Blaine, Jeff of California, sister Rosalee MacDonald of Bellingham and several nieces and nephews. Donations in remembrance can be made to Meals on Wheels or Whatcom Hospice.
At his request, there will not be a service.
