Stephen John Lemay went to be with the Lord on April 19, 2018 in an industrial accident in Fordland, Missouri. He was born on Jan. 17, 1962 in Manchester, New Hampshire.
His family moved to Modesto, California, when he was 5 years old. He met his wife Carol at Biola University where he obtained a degree in theology with a minor in business. They were married on June 29, 1985. They had two children, a son named Keith and a daughter Amber; and a grandson, Travis.
Steve worked for Calco fencing until 1996. That summer, the family moved to Lynden, where Steve joined the Iron Workers Union and became a tower hand. He worked for Seacomm Erectors for many years before opening his own tower company in 2014. He enjoyed playing tennis with the Semiahmoo Tennis Club and showing God’s love to the orphans in India.
He leaves behind his wife, two children, and a grandson as well as his parents and siblings.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, in Second Christian Reformed Church of Lynden.
