Roger Anderson

Roger Anderson, age 77, passed away on Aug. 3, 2023 in Bellingham.

Roger was born on May 11, 1946, in Bellingham to Floyd and Vera (Hill) Anderson. He graduated from Nooksack Valley High School in 1964. On Sept. 17, 1966, he married KerryAnn Willemsen, and they raised their four children on their family dairy farm in Sumas.

On Dec. 9, 2005, he married Kim Davis from Louisiana after meeting one another while on a Caribbean cruise. The family was very grateful for the love and care she gave to Roger. He was an avid sports fan who didn’t miss a Mariners game. He also loved attending his kids’ and grandkids’ sporting events.

One of Roger’s best memories was playing softball in the Sumas fastpitch league with his group of friends, and the family has many fond memories of the time spent at the Sumas Ball Park. Roger had a huge heart and the gift of compassion. He was always the first to visit the sick. He looked forward to his weekly Bible Study and his daily phone calls with his friends who all meant so much to him. He loved his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids, and he will be missed by so many.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Kim, his children’s mother, KerryAnn, and his grandson, Briley Benner.
