Robert Allen (Bobby) Brooks was born Aug. 26, 1982 and passed away on Tuesday morning, July 18, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his brother Edward Wayne (Eddie), his beloved daschund Missy, grandparents Nancy and Cliff Broy and grandmother Voleene.
Bobby is survived by his wife of nine years, Denise; two sons who were his pride and joy, Benjamin and Nicholas; parents Jennie and Larry; brothers Ricky (Justine), Johnny (Lexi) and Brian (Katie); grandfather Marion “Grumpy”; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
Bobby became an amateur radio operator at 11 years old and taught a ham radio class. He graduated in 2000 from Nooksack Valley High School. Bobby was a volunteer firefighter and EMT for 10 years, holding the position of captain. He was an employee of Whatcom Builders for 16 years with 11 years being the asphalt plant operator foreman. Bobby could make anything out of metal.
He was an amazing father. His favorite pastime was taking his boys fishing and camping. He loved taking road trips, most recently to Oregon with his wife and kids. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and liked working on cars and camping in his big motorhome.
You are encouraged to join the family in remembering Bobby at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, in Nooksack Cemetery, with Pastor Carl Crouse officiating. Following the graveside, a memorial reception will be in Glen Echo Community Club, 7694 Goodwin Rd., Everson. Memorials may be sent to your favorite charity.
