Rex Nathaniel Watt, 36, of Evans, Georgia, passed away on June 21, 2017.
He was born on July 19, 1980 in San Jose, California, a son of Rex Watt and Kathleen (Watt) Crowe. He attended Ferndale schools and graduated from Ferndale High School in 1998. He received his bachelor’s degree in the administration of justice in 2016, after first serving in the U.S. Marine Corps for 16 years.
Rex Nathan is survived by his children, Mikayla Elizabeth and Dylan Ross; his parents, Rex E. Watt (Deanna) and Kathleen (Watt) Crowe (Joe); his sisters, Tiffany (Jasper) MacSlarrow, Sarah (Andrew) Menck and Haylie (Rodney) Parks; his fiancée, Traci Dahl; and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Gillies Funeral Home of Lynden. Public visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 6, at Gillies. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 7, with one hour of visitation prior to the service, in Redeemer Lutheran Church, 858 W. Smith Rd., Bellingham. Burial will be in Enterprise Cemetery, 7041 Vista Dr., Ferndale, with military honors following the service.
