Raymond L. Stuit, age 81, of Lynden, passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018.
Ray was born in Hettinger, North Dakota, on Nov. 28, 1936, to Peter and Frances (LeFebre) Stuit.
Ray is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nelda; four sons, Randy (Marky), Ryan (Donna), Kendall (Lorrie) and Kevin; grandchildren Ben and Lindy, Leah and Brandon Richner, Jesse and Alyssa, Stephanie and Nick Harvey, Lane and Taryn, Levi, Austin and Emily, Hailey, Erik, Harlon and Rubi; great-grandchildren Ryker, Slade, Kroy, Breklyn, Mac, Sig, Easton, Hukslee Raymond, Isla, Corrie and Millie, with two more on the way; sister Alvina Flikkema of Portland, Oregon; sisters-in-law Gertrude Stuit and Suzanne Reynolds; brothers- and sisters-in-law Marshall and Yvonne Zoerink, Don and Greta Elsbree, Sherm and Phyllis Polinder; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by son Steve; parents Peter and Frances (LeFebre) Stuit; brothers John, Wilbur and Kenneth Stuit; sister Margaret Cole; brothers-in-law John Flikkema and Curtis Harvey; and father- and mother-in-law Henry and Dena Zoerink.
You are invited to join family and friends for a memorial service at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, in Third Christian Reformed Church, Lynden. Private burial precedes in Greenacres Memorial Park, Ferndale.
