Ralph Raymond Lampers passed away March 3 at home at age 93.
Ralph was born on Feb. 21, 1930 to Jacob and Klazine Lampers. He spent his early years in Marysville before the family relocated to Kirkland, where he graduated from Lake Washington High School.
Ralph served in the U.S. Army in an artillery unit and was stationed in Germany. While there he was able to visit relatives in the Netherlands on leaves.
Ralph was a carpenter and was a member of Carpenter’s Union Local No. 131.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved the outdoors.
Ralph met his wife Noelle camping at Ft. Casey on Whidbey Island. They married July 28, 1995. They loved traveling in their RV and spent many years as snowbirds in Arizona.
He leaves behind his wife Noelle, two stepsons Bill Griffith (Scharlotte), Jim Griffith (Laura) and grandchildren Jonathan and Rachel
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Whatcom Hospice.
A celebration of Ralph’s life will be held at a later date.
