Paul Anderson

  Paul Anderson, 90, passed away on March 8, 2016. He was born on Dec. 20, 1925, in Ferndale to Albin and Nellie (Birkeland) Anderson.
  Paul was preceded in death by his parents; brothers David and Joseph and his wife Lea Anderson; brother-in-law Roger Van Batavia; sisters Ruth and her husband Dewey Ling, Esther Anderson and Martha and her husband Oliver Nelson.
  Paul is survived by his sister, Maria Van Batavia of Mount Vernon; sister-in-law June Anderson of Salem, Oregon; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; and many loving friends.
  Paul grew up on a dairy farm in Ferndale. He served in the Korean War, then came home and farmed with his father. Paul sold the farm in the late 1970s and moved to Bellingham, where he lived until his death.
  Funeral arrangements are under the care of Kern Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on March 19, 2016, in Kern Funeral Home of Mount Vernon at 11 a.m.
  Paul’s family wishes to thank his many friends, health care providers and associates in Whatcom County who were a wonderful support to him throughout life, and notably during his last few months.
