Patsy Bode

  Patsy Lynn Bode went to meet her heavenly Father on Nov. 7, 2015, at the age of 67.
  Patsy (Pat) was preceded in death by her mother, Suzanne Holleman, and her father, Henry Holleman, of Lynden.
  Pat is survived by her dedicated and loving husband of 45 years, Ron Bode. They were married in Lynden on April 11, 1969.
  She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Sharla Bode of Orting, Janeen Bode of Puyallup, Lynessa Tinglum of Puyallup and Deneé Kroeger of Portland; her beloved grandchildren Gunnar (7), Aksel (5), Kellan (5), Emery (3) and Madsen (6 months). She is also survived by her brother, Rick Holleman, sister Sally Postma and her youngest brother, Tim Holleman, all of Lynden.
  Pat was born in Lynden on Jan. 18, 1948. She graduated from Lynden Christian High School in 1966 and attended both Dordt College in Iowa and Calvin College in Michigan. Pat lived for her family, gathering people together and travelling with her children, grandchildren and husband. She gave selflessly and loved many in her seemingly short years on this earth. She aimed to show Christ’s love in all she did that they may know Him.
  A celebration of life will be held in Tacoma Christian Reformed Community Church, 2419 E. 72nd St., Tacoma, WA 98404, on Monday, Nov. 16, at 1 p.m. An interment service will be held in Lynden in Gillies Funeral Home, 202 Front St., on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 2 p.m., with a graveside service to follow at Monumenta Cemetery.
