Patricia “Pat/Patty” Bock, of north Whatcom County, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 at the age of 76.
Pat was born in Bellingham in March 1941 to parents Phillip and Edna Bock. Pat was the sixth of seven children. She grew up tough and feisty and was a strong self-advocate. After graduating from Nooksack Valley High School, Pat worked as a live-in caregiver and later became a certified nursing assistant. She had a passion for puzzles, collecting knickknacks and spending time with family and friends.
Pat is survived by her brothers Ed (Connie) Bock of Everson and Gerald (Anna) Bock of Stanwood; sister Phyllis Burns of Everett; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by siblings Sylvester Bock, Art Bock and Ella Person.
The family extends a special thank-you to the staff at Rosewood and St. Francis of Bellingham for the wonderful care. We would also like to extend a thank-you to Gertie Saar for all she has done as well as niece Arlene (Rob) for including Pat in their holiday celebrations.
You are invited to join family and friends for an 11 a.m. memorial service on Saturday, Oct. 28, at Sumas Advent Church, 125 Front St., Sumas, with Pastor Carl Crouse officiating.
