Lysle “Pat” White passed away on April 4, 2017.
Pat was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on April 8, 1936 to Lysle White Sr. and Nadean White. He graduated from Kellogg (Iowa) High School in 1954. He majored in business administration at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa and graduated in 1958. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960 at Ft. Holabird in Baltimore, Maryland.
Pat married his college sweetheart, Joanne Weir, in 1961. He spent the majority of his professional career in retail management in Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin and Montana before moving to Lynden in 1976 to manage the Lynden Department Store. Pat also served as the executive secretary of Multiple District 19 of Lions Club International.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 20, in the Lynden United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lynden Lions Club 3rd Grade Dictionary Project.
Pat is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joanne; daughter Darcy (Jerry) Davis of Vancouver, Washington; son Cory (Shannon)White of Lynden; grandchildren Connor White, Lucy White and Claire Davis; and brother Richard White of Forney, Texas.
