It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our wife and mother, Norma Lou Wilson, age 84, on May 3, 2018.
Norma L. Ogle (Wilson) was born in Haskell, Oklahoma, to Boynton and Sunshine Ogle on Nov. 16, 1933. She married George Wilson on Jan. 15, 1955 and moved to Ferndale, where they raised their family. They have two children, Renee Bliss (husband Bill), Ron Wilson (wife Lynda), three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Norma loved to travel and she and George traveled all over the world as well as the U.S. in their motorhome. They also spent winters in Arizona. Norma was “artsy” and loved to paint and quilt, and was always up to learning the latest craft projects. Her family and her faith meant everything to her. She attended First Baptist Church in Ferndale as well as Grace Baptist in Lynden.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, in Christ the King Community Church of Bellingham, 4273 Meridian St.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Whatcom Hospice Foundation, 2901 Squalicum Parkway, Bellingham, WA 98225.
