Mark Vermeulen, age 65, passed away on Jan. 30, 2017 in Boise, Idaho, from heart complications. Mark was born June 13, 1951 in Bellingham where he lived until 2013 when he moved to Boise.
He played with the band Brewster until he started working for the family business, Bellingham Chrysler Center. His greatest passion was writing music, playing his guitar and singing. He loved to travel and most recently take drives to the mountain. He also loved being on the water. He was loved by so many.
Mark is survived by his wife of 16 years, Dawn Vermeulen; son Toby Vermeulen (Kim); daughter Rocki McDaniel (Jerry); parents Casey and Gerri Vermeulen; sister Georgia Bien (David); brother Jay Vermeulen (Stacey); grandchildren Trent, Lavaun, Ivy, Colby, Mason and Christian; and numerous aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Jim and Lois Bromley and Gerritt and Adriana Vermeulen, nephew Jamie Vermeulen, mother-in-law Carol Jackson and numerous aunts and uncles.
Services will be held in Christ The King of Bellingham at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017.
