Mark Douglas Postma, age 57, of Bellingham, passed away peacefully at his home on Sept. 3, 2015, with his mother by his side. Mark was born on Oct. 28, 1957, in Bellingham to Charles and Esther Postma.
Mark graduated from Redwood School in Bellingham.
Mark worked the past eight years for Quality Inn Baron Suites where he was always eager to go to work and earned Employee of the Month. He enjoyed playing tennis, bowling and swimming. Mark especially enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics where he won numerous medals. We were all truly blessed to have known him, love him and be loved unconditionally by him. Mark had a special gift of bringing joy to everyone around him.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Charles Postma; and grandparents John and Grace Postma and John and Alvina Baum.
He is survived by his mother, Esther Postma; brothers Brian (Lonnie) Postma, John (Melissa) Postma and sister Candice (Andy) DiSanza; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, in Sonlight Christian Reformed Church in Lynden. A private family burial will precede the service.
