On July 12, 2018, at the age of 88, LouAnne (Gearon) Dennison was surrounded at home by her four daughters as she left this earthly home to meet her heavenly Father, and be reunited with her husband, Roy.
LouAnne was born in 1930 and spent her childhood in Honolulu, Hawaii, until leaving the island when Pearl Harbor was bombed. Her family eventually settled in Nooksack, where she met her future husband, Roy Dennison. They married in 1949 and built a home in Nooksack where they would live until the Lord took each of them to heaven.
LouAnne was a great-great-niece to Lynden founder Phoebe Judson. She was also an active member of the Nooksack Valley United Methodist Church for over 70 years. She was a skilled homemaker as well as record-holding bowler, bridge player and, above all else, a loving and giving mother who raised four grateful and blessed daughters.
LouAnne was preceded in death by her parents, James and Laura Gearon; sisters Joyce Larson and Darlene Miller; and her husband, Roy, who passed away in 2012.
She is survived by her four daughters: Gail (Bob) Harriman, Lori (Wayne) Gardner, Ruth (Marv) Stremler and Joni (Kelly) Heutink. LouAnne was also blessed with 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, who all adored her. She also left behind her two loving cats that always made her smile in spite of their shenanigans.
Friends and family are invited to her graveside service at 2 p.m. Monday, July 23, in the Nooksack Cemetery, immediately followed by coffee and refreshments at the former Nooksack United Methodist Church in Nooksack.
You are invited to share your condolences and memories on the online guestbook at www.gilliesfuneralhome.com.
Arrangements are entrusted to Gillies Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
