Karen (Cornelsen) Walker went to rest in the arms of her Lord and Savior on Dec. 22, 2023. She will be missed by her family and so many others that experienced her unconditional love, her gift of hospitality, and the way she shared her life with others to make their lives better.
Family and relationships were of the utmost importance to Karen throughout her life. She had a way of sharing her life with Christ and caring about people that made a positive impactful difference for those that had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her husband Bruce Walker; daughter Stephanie Rose (Goleta, CA) husband Jon children Samantha, Isabella and Easton; daughter Shelly Pommer (Sammamish, WA) husband Matt, children Micah and Josie; son Jeremy Bartell (Gilmer, TX) wife Neely, children Logan, Landon, and Hudson; son David Walker (Blaine, WA) children Sebatian, Lizzy and McKenzie; daughter Kara Walker (Loveland, CO) wife Kelly McKnight; Karen’s brothers Richard Cornelsen, wife Carol and Daniel Cornelsen, wife Patricia as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Karen is preceded in death by her husband Larry Bartell, parents Jonas Cornelsen, Martha (Cornelsen) Magner and Merle Magner.
Memorial services for Karen will be held Jan. 12, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Good News Fellowship Church 1252 W Axton Road, Ferndale.
