John Meixner

  John F. Meixner of Bellingham died Jan. 31, 2018. At his request no service will be held. He was born in Bellingham on Oct. 15, 1923 to George and Effie (Johnston) Meixner.
  A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Conyngham DD371 in the Southwest Pacific.
  He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, whom he married on Jan. 2, 1947; and his son George.
  Survivors include his son Tom Meixner of Everson; daughters Mary Williamson of Bellingham and Pauline Zender of Custer; five grandsons, one granddaughter and nine great-grandchildren.
