John David Leenders passed away May 25, 2024 due to complications of diabetes. John was born on Dec. 28, 1956 to Gerrit Leenders and Joan Blandford Leenders. He is survived by his brother James Leenders. John was a graduate of Washington State University and majored in journalism. He was the managing editor of the Washington Association of Wheatgrowers and president of the Chamber of Commerce in Ritzville, WA.
John lived in Houston, Texas the last several years under the care of his ex-wife Tracye Smith Leenders. John passed away peacefully in his sleep.
Inurnment services will be held on Friday, Sept. 27, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Green Acres Memorial Park Ferndale.
