JK Peterson, age 60, of Bellingham, passed away in Bellingham on Sept. 21, 2016 following a brief illness. He was born in Bellingham on March 13, 1956 to parents Kenneth and Joyce Peterson.
Throughout his life JK had many interests, which included taking long trips on his Harley. He enjoyed spending time with his many friends and also enjoyed local history. JK loved all animals, especially all his pets. He had a generous and caring spirit and was ready to respond to friends and family who came to him for help. He had the capability of lightening the load of heavy hearts and all who knew him will miss that in their lives.
JK is preceded in death by his father Kenneth Merrill Peterson, mother Joyce Ardis (Kruzer) Peterson, aunt Jeanne (Kruzer) Smith and grandparents Charlie and Josie Peterson and Jake and Julie Kruzer. He is survived by brother Karl (Linda) Peterson and many cousins.
A memorial service for JK will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016 at 1 p.m. in Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 1720 Harris Ave., Bellingham, WA 98225 with a reception at church following.
In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorial donations to honor JK be made to The Lighthouse Mission, 910 West Holly St., Bellingham, WA 98225.
