Ivy Hansen

  Ivy Eleanor Hansen, age 99, was ushered into the Lord’s presence on March 3, 2016.
  Ivy was born on Sept. 29, 1916, to William and Laura Willmore. Though she spent most of her childhood in Toronto, they moved to Vancouver, B.C., in her early 20s.
  It was in Bellingham where she met Howard Hansen and they were married on Oct. 6, 1951. They had one daughter, Sharon Louise.
  She was a woman who loved fiercely, cared deeply, prayed fervently and exemplified what it meant to love Jesus, love life and live it to the fullest.
  Ivy is survived by her sister, Betty Symons; her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Wayne Williams; her grandchildren: Laura Williams and fiance Mark French and Sean and Natalya Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.
  A celebration of her life will be held in Sunrise Baptist Church, 2480 W. Badger Rd., Custer, WA at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2016.
