Helen Mildred Johnston Rude finished her race and passed away Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, surrounded by her family.
Helen was born Feb. 7, 1930 in Butte, Montana, where she grew up. Helen spent most of her adult life in Southern California. In 1994 Helen moved to Bellingham to be near her daughter and grand-baby.
She loved her family and grandchildren with her whole heart. Helen was a kind and loving woman. She loved going to church every Sunday. She passed her love for God on to her family and showed by example how to have faith in Jesus, her Saviour. Helen loved much and was well loved.
Helen is survived by her four children and their spouses: Mike (Rose) Keel, Fran Keel, Angelique (Doug) Scarlett, and Tim (Angie) Rude. Her grandchildren are David Keel, Joshua, Grant, Robin and Luke Scarlett, Caroline, Calvin and Connor Rude.
Her parents, Kenneth and Mildred Johnston, predeceased her.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, in Calvary Chapel Northwest of Bellingham.
