Harry Henry Nicolaas, age 87, born Sept. 11, 1932, passed away on Sept. 17, 2019, at his home in Bellingham.
Harry worked on boats for Uniflight and later for Chris-Craft until his retirement. He also worked as a janitor for many years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Nicolaas Sr.; mother, Gertie Nicolaas; two brothers, Elmer Nicolaas and Henry Nicolaas Jr.; and a niece, Makaly Nicolaas.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Nicolaas of Custer and Sherry Nicolaas of Ferndale; sister Etta Barnes of Custer; four grandkids, Sandy Nicolaas, Nicole Nicolaas-Parker, Presten Rathjen and Wyatt Nicolaas; seven great-grandkids, Brennun, Bryson, John, Malayah, Robert #5, Insley and Xailah; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, in Greenacres Memorial Park, 5700 Northwest Dr., Ferndale. A Celebration of Life potluck will follow at the VFW Hall, 5537 Second Ave., Ferndale.
