Harriet Mae Renskers Haak entered her eternal rest on March 18 at age 99.
Harriet was born April 11, 1923 at her parents, William and Anna Renskers’ rural home near Westfield, ND.
They preceded her in death, as did her siblings, Eliot, Kathryn Havens, Dorothy Scherle and Earl.
Also preceding Harriet was her husband Al, daughter, Colleen Polinder, grandson, Shawn Polinder, granddaughter, Olive Hope Polinder, and many other loved ones.
Harriet graduated from Pollock (SD) High School in 1941 and from nursing school at St. Lukes Hospital in Aberdeen, SD.
Harriet married Al Haak in 1945, they moved from Hull, ND, in 1954, to Lynden. Above all, she was a loving, caring wife, mother and grandma.
She worked as an RN at Lynden Christian Health Care Center and as a school nurse for LC.
Harriet will be remembered for her gifts of being a prayer warrior and her hospitality, which she abundantly shared with her family and friends. She was a member of Bethel CRC.

Harriet is survived by her loving children: Gloria (Gary) Bode and Victor (Lisa) Haak. Also surviving are her eight grandchildren: Monica Crabtree, Michelle Lehnert, Stacia Hoeksema, Shawna Vander Leest, Monte Bode, Rustin Polinder, Mason Bode, Krista Brisky and their spouses. She has 28 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
A private graveside committal service will be held at Monumenta Cemetery on Friday, March 24 at 12:15 p.m.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, March 24 at North County Christ the King Church family room, beginning at 1 p.m.
