Greta Mae (Zoerink) Elsbree, of Lynden, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sept. 12 at the age of 86. Greta was born July 9, 1936, to Henry and Dena (Stuurmans) Zoerink.
She is survived by her greatest admirer and husband of 67 years, Don Elsbree. Children Randi Elsbree, Duane Elsbree, and Delayne (Dean) Vander Haak; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Brother Marshall (Vonnie) Zoerink, sisters Nelda Stuit, and Phyllis (Sherm) Polinder, brother in-law Clif Elsbree, and sisters in-law Pat Canaan and Mardelle (Dick) Morton. Greta is preceded in death by son, Doug Elsbree, and an infant sister.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 17 2 p.m. at Second Christian Reformed Church, 113 8th Street, Lynden.
In lieu of flowers, Greta requests donations be made to Second CRC, 710 Front St., Lynden, WA 98264.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Gillies Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
