Gary Severson

  Gary Dale Severson went home to be with Jesus on Dec. 27, 2017 after many health battles.
  He was born on Feb. 28, 1946 in Riceville, Iowa, to Arla and Luther. On May 5, 1970, he married the love of his life, Marlene. He is survived by his wife, Marlene; son Jamie Severson; sister Cindy Harris (Loren); brother Mark Ewy; and uncle Dale Wendorff.
  As the result of a kidney transplant over 46 years ago, Gary became a follower of Christ and wanted to make his life count. He was a fervent worshiper and lifelong encourager of others. He loved music, writing, jokes and The Bob Newhart Show. His family will miss him dearly.
  A memorial service will be held at the Light of the World Prayer Center in Bellingham at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018.
