Lifetime Bellingham resident Gail Aryeness Rittenberg, age 81, passed away peacefully in Bellingham on Jan. 24, 2017. She was born March 19, 1935 in Bellingham to Leslie Townley and Phoebe Bolster Townley.
She enjoyed gardening, square dancing and spending time in the outdoors. She also loved spending time with her family and researching her family’s pioneer history.
Gail was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Gary Hyatt.
She is survived by her daughters Leslie (husband John) Bruner and Brenda (Dan) Law; grandchildren Todd Bruner (wife Jennie), Clinton Bruner (Brittany), Jessie Van Mersbergen (Todd) and Ronni Hoekema (Keith); great-grandchildren Sawyer, Ezra and Jacob; sister Sharon Griemsmann Lucas (Larry); and many loving relatives and friends.
The family extends a special thanks to Lisa, Kathy and Amy for their friendship, guidance and gentle loving care of our mother over the years.
