Faustino “TJ” Perez, 42, went home to be with his heavenly savior on Jan. 19.
He was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend and will be missed by so many.
TJ was born on Aug. 20, 1980 to Debbie (McGinnis) and Faustino Perez.
TJ graduated from Lynden Christian in 1999 and went on to get a degree in law enforcement, working as a police officer and in loss prevention amongst other things.
TJ loved airplanes and had his pilot’s license. He loved video games, wood working projects and rocking out and playing music with his band.
TJ was a musician at heart and a jokester, always full of laughs. He showed he cared for others by playfully teasing his loved ones and was always checking up on his mom.
TJ is remembered most of all for how much he loved his daughter Sydney.
TJ is preceded in death by his father, Faustino Perez; grandpa, Willis Struiksma; and twins Rachel and Gavin Perez.
TJ is survived by his parents, Debbie and Eric McGinnis; brother, Adrian Perez; sister, Brandi Blair and her children Treven, Trey, and Tanner; and sister, Elesea Perez and her son Kenai Wright-Perez, daughter Syndey, grandmother Gladys Struiksma, significant other Jennifer Macias and numerous other family members.
The memorial Service is on Feb. 1 at 11 a.m. at Bellingham CTK.
