Earnest “Ernie” Buss, age 78, passed away at the Christian Health Care Center on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, surrounded by his family. Ernie was born in Raymond, Minnesota, on Nov. 8, 1936, to John and Elizabeth (Scheltens).
He spent many years employed by Venus Gusmer Manufacturing as a machinist. Ernie loved to sing with the Kings Men of Song and listen to Southern Gospel music. Woodworking and growing dahlias were favorite pastimes.
Ernie is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; children Jeff (Carrie) Greidanus, Rick (Kathy) Greidanus, Susan Gunter, Gerry Buss and Duane TeSelle; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carman.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, in First Christian Reformed Church, Lynden.
