A Memorial Mass for Donald Liewer, 87, who lived in Lynden for more than 20 years, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 23, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont, Nebraska. A military service will be held at Omaha National Cemetery will follow.
Family will be receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. with a rosary starting at 7 p.m. at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
Mr. Liewer, a retired Boeing aerospace engineer, moved to Lynden from Bainbridge Island after his marriage in 2000 to the former Tamara Timnick Weber. The couple moved to Nebraska last year to be near relatives.
