Donald Hersman

  Donald Hersman, 84, passed away in Arlington, Washington, on Feb. 7, 2018. He was born in Ferndale on Oct. 18, 1933.
  Don served in the U.S. Navy prior to his 25-year career with the Bellevue Fire Department.
  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharry, his parents and a brother.
  He is survived by his children: Kandus Green (Milton) of Jackson, Georgia, Deborah Fly (David) of Lake Stevens, Rebecca Edwards of Tacoma and Kevin Hersman of Arlington; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Sharlene Hauge; a brother, Kenneth Hersman; and many family and friends.
  On Saturday, Feb. 17, in Evergreen Washelli funeral home, 11111 Aurora Ave. N, Seattle, WA 98133, there will be a viewing at 1 p.m., with services at 2 p.m. followed by entombment. The family will be hosting a gathering in honor of Don’s life following the services at Ballard VFW hall, 2812 NW Market St., Seattle WA 98107.
