David William Brouwer, our precious son, brother, fiancé, grandson, nephew and friend, went home to Heaven on Nov. 20, 2015. He will be deeply missed. His passion for living will linger a long time in our memory.
David was born in Bellingham on April 1, 1993 (no foolin’). He is survived by his parents, Ted and Alicia; siblings Jonathan and Amber (Tjoelker), Jacob and Sarah; fiancée Siarah Perreira; grandparents Gary and Grace Nyland and Elko and Clara Brouwer; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
He loved the outdoors. Camping, surfing, snowboarding, motocross and skateboarding were favorite activities depending on the season. He loved to be with people and was active in local ministries and service opportunities. He enjoyed creating gadgets in the shop and woodworking. He lived out the 22 years of his life with purpose and he never gave up in a challenge.
Now he is dancing with joy in Heaven! “Let not your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me [Jesus]. In My Father’s house are many rooms … I am going there to prepare a place for you.” John 14
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 28, at 2 p.m. in North County Christ the King Church of Lynden. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the David Brouwer Memorial Fund at Peoples Bank, Lynden branch.
