Dana Adrian Ohligschlager, age 72, passed away on April 4, 2017 in Seattle due to complications following surgery.
He was born on June 7, 1944, the third of five children of William and Viva (Gerstenberger) Ohligschlager, in Oelwein, Iowa. His family moved to California in 1952 and settled in Azusa, where he attended school and graduated from Azusa High School and Citrus College.
Dana served a stint in the U.S. Marine Corps and began a career with General Telephone Company and later Continental Telephone Company. He married his high school sweetheart, Victoria Newton, and they were blessed with two sons. They resided first in San Dimas and then Corcoran, California, and then Lynden. After retirement Dana relocated to Montana and then Arizona before returning to Lynden to spend his last years near his sons.
Survivors include his son David and wife Amy Jo and their sons Dalton, Dawson and Duke; and son Daniel and his children Devin, Sydney, Riley and Dax; brother Dennis and wife Janet; sisters Diane and Skip Gibson, DeLois and Raul DeLos Santos and Dorsey Boyd; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
According to his wishes, there were no services.
