Claudia Vogel

  Claudia Janelle Vogel, age 62, entered into rest on Jan. 26, 2016, in Bellingham, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 1, 1953, in Los Angeles to Edward and Grace (Koster) Gerderloos.
  Claudia enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed Bible studies and worship music in her free time and was very active in her church and enjoyed her church family at Evergreen Community Church in Ferndale. During her working career, Claudia worked as a childcare giver at Homestead Fitness for 9-1/2 years. She will always be remembered for her youthful “young at heart” spirit, loving nature, caring and compassionate way toward others. Claudia will be most remembered as being a very faithful and perseverant person.
  Claudia is survived by her three sons, Ken (Anna) Vogel of Lake Oswego, Oregon, Bryan Vogel of Blaine and Zachary (Maaike) Vogel of Lynden; daughter Janelle (Jim) Peters of Ontario, California; sisters Meg (Wayne) Stowell of Ferndale and Collen (David) Rooks of Eugene, Oregon; and seven grandchildren.
  Burial was held on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, in Ocean View Cemetery in Port Angeles. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, in Evergreen Community Church, 6899 N. Enterprise Rd., Ferndale, WA 98248.
