Clarence Wayne Henderson was born on Jan. 17, 1940 in Seattle to Daniel and Helen Henderson. He went home to be with his Savior on Wednesday, April 5, 2017. He passed away, surrounded by family and friends, after battling many forms of cancer.
Clarence lived in Ketchikan, Alaska, from 1950 to 1958, then Turlock, California, from 1958 to 1960, graduating from Turlock High School in 1959. He moved in 1960 to Portland, Oregon, where he met and married Janet Ross in 1961.
As a hobby, fishing was his passion, especially if it could be with his children and grandchildren. After retiring from 35 years in the defense contracting industry, Clarence and Janet moved to Lynden in January 1997 to be close to family and friends. Clarence became active with Outreach Canada in assisting with church planting throughout both Canada and the U.S.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Janet; brother Norman; son James (Angela) and their children, Austin, Aimee, Houston, and Hunter; son Gary (Allison); as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 14, in North County Christ the King of Lynden.
