C. Doreen Harvey

  C. Doreen Harvey, 92, of Sumas, passed away on Feb. 4, 2016. She was born on March 20, 1923, in Spencer, South Dakota.
  Doreen was preceded in death by her two eldest sons, Roy and Larry Harvey, and her youngest daughter, Kathy Harvey-Wanker; granddaughter Alison Nicole Harvey; and grandson Alex J. Tuttle.
  Her surviving children are Donald (Pam) Harvey, Linda (Bernie) Van Diest, Darlene (Patrick) Tuttle, David (Terri) Harvey and Karen Harvey; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
  She will be missed greatly by her surviving sisters: Barbara Harvey, Shirley Strotz Lagerway, Myrna Van Roekle and Fay Korneman.
  Anyone who knew Doreen knew that she loved being on the go. She enjoyed going to the casino with Barb and Shirley. The three were incredibly close. She enjoyed music, sewing, playing cards and life in general.
  A private graveside service will be held at Lakeside Cemetery. The family invites you to join in a celebration of Mom (“Grandma’s”) life at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20, at the American Legion Hall, 134 Harrison St., Sumas.
