Barbara Brock (Gillies) passed away on Oct. 25, 2018 at the age of 92.
She was born Feb. 17, 1926 and spent the majority of her childhood living in Sumas and Lynden, at the Gillies Funeral Home owned by her parents, Leslie and Flossie Gillies. Barbara had two younger sisters, Beverly Matter and Joanne Bask, both preceding her in passing.
Barbara left Lynden to attend nursing school at the University of Washington. She met and married the love of her life, Robert Brock (deceased). They had one daughter, Laurie Brock (deceased). Over the years Barbara and Bob lived in Lake City, Washington, Los Angeles, California, Bethesda, Maryland, and then back to Bellingham and Lynden in retirement.
Barbara was very faithful in her Christian beliefs and was looking forward to being with her family again.
A private graveside service will be held.
