Anthony M. Burrows was called home to the Lord Jesus Christ on July 13, 2023. He was born on Nov. 25, 1939 to Harold and Dorthea Burrows. Tony, as he was known to most in the community, spent his childhood in the area around Ellensburg. Tony loved his country, he served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962 serving both in the United States, and overseas in Germany. While in Germany, he married Monika Herder in Berlin. After returning home, he was employed as a mechanic for Standard Oil, and later opened his own business, which he ran for 18 years until selling the business and taking a position with the City of Olympia until his retirement in 2005. Tony was proceeded in death by his parents Harold and Dorthea; his first wife Monika; his youngest son Andrew; his brothers Paul and Jack; and his sister Patricia (Preeman). Tony was loved by all and will be missed by many and remembered for his honesty, work ethic, friendliness and his willingness to help others. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Judy Burrows of Bellingham; his daughter Christina Burrows of Lynden, his oldest son and daughter-in-law Anthony and Janet Burrows of Lynden along with their three children and two sons-in-law Caroline and Hector Gutierrez of Frisco, Texas; Caitlin and Tyson Cline of Lynden; Grandson Matthew Burrows; and Grandson Christopher Burrows of Redmond along with friends, nieces and nephews. Tony will be remembered at a graveside service on Tuesday, July 25 at 3 p.m. at Ten Mile Cemetery.
