Anna Maria Snapper Ward lived a complete, satisfying life. She was a graduate of Lynden Christian High School, Class of 1953, where her yearbook quote was “Oh scissors, let’s cut up!” — a popular reference of the era reserved for those who were clever with word play.
She worked at Boeing for 10 years, where she met her husband, Donald “Doc” Ward. While with Boeing, they spent four years in Baghdad and five years in Holland. Anna enjoyed this time with Doc, traveling and meeting new people.
With a wink and a nod, Anna insisted her life began at sunrise and would end at sunset. As for the span in between, her family and friends were grateful for the time spent together.
Anna is survived by daughter MaryAnn Likkel and son Mark Likkel, along with numerous extended family members.
At Anna’s request, there are no services.
