Ann Zylstra, age 91, of Lynden, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 25, 2017 at the Christian Health Care Center.
Ann was born in Redlands, California, to Rev. Dick and Ruth DeYoung. She married Mack Zylstra on March 15, 1944 in Lynden. Ann was the last charter member at Grace Baptist Fellowship.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Mack; son Michael; parents Dick and Ruth DeYoung; and sisters Hilda Grasman, Marie Grasman and Toni Cowen.
Ann is survived by daughter Linda (Jim) Patterson and son Dan Zylstra. She will be missed by her sisters Joey (Ike) Workentin, Gladys (John) Timm, Dixie Foster and Dorothy DeYoung; sister-in-law Eleanor Zylstra; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family extends sincere thanks to Dr. Alexander, the wonderful nurses and staff for being so attentive at the Christian Health Care Center, the continued support from the Hospice staff, Sadie Steiner and Darla DiLorenzo and their care at Meadow Green, for the tenderness Janet Oostra shared with Mom, and finally so many thanks to the Bellingham Threshold Singers who took the time to sing at her bedside.
You are invited to join family and friends for an 11:30 a.m. memorial service on Friday, June 30, in Grace Baptist Fellowship with Pastor Delaine Bailey officiating. Burial precedes at Monumenta Cemetery.
