Alexander “Alec” North, age 65, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, at the family home in Lynden.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughter Wendy and son Michael. Alec had been diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s.
Alec worked as a parts counter man for NAPA Auto Parts in Everson for more than 20 years. He also served his community as a volunteer EMT/firefighter for the Laurel Fire Department for 24 years. He loved to help people and often referred to himself as a “mechanical missionary,” repairing cars for those in need while boldly sharing his personal faith in Jesus Christ.
We thank God for his mercy and grace. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the folks at Whatcom Hospice for the loving care they blessed Alec and his loved ones with.
He fought the good fight and finished his race.
