  Hank Hornstra passed away peacefully and went home to his Lord and Savior on March 27, 2025 in Lynden at the age of 90.  

  June Rose LaBounty Filbert was born on April 3, 1928 in Whatcom County and passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2025.

  Myra Mae (Groen) Kortus was born to William and Mamie Groen in Hull, North Dakota on Sept. 1, 1936.

  Roberta Kay Bass, 83, from Lynden, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Oct. 27, 2024. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

  Hilda Gloria Camacho gained her angel wings on Jan. 29, 2025, surrounded by family and friends.

  Hermina Lolkema, along with her twin sister, Agnes, entered this world on Oct. 28, 1940. She departed on March 22, 2025.

  Clifford “Cliff” Moran, a lifelong resident of Whatcom County, was born in Bellingham on March 30, 1928. He resided in Bellingham for 94 years, with the last two years in Lynden at Meadow Greens, passing away Dec. 5, 2024 at the age 96.

  George Plucinski, age 85, passed away at the Whatcom Hospice House in Bellingham on Thursday, March 13, 2025. George believed in kindness and compassion. He also loved a good joke, and his large personality made him memorable to all he met.

EVERSON — The City of Everson experienced a water main break at the Nooksack River Bridge on the night of March 18 that led to a boil water advisory for the city’s water users and the Hampton and Everson water associations, according to the City of Everson news updates. 

  Clarice N. Solvik, born Jan. 18, 1930, passed away on March 14, 2025.
