Richard Arnold Bailey passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Feb. 14, 2017.
He was born on Sept. 1, 1938 in Bellingham and grew up on his family’s dairy farm near Ferndale. He graduated from Ferndale High in 1956 and Western Washington University in 1960. A graduate of the University of Washington Law School, Richard practiced law in Arlington, Washington, for 48 years. He was a fine attorney, an avid reader and a passionate fisherman. He loved family celebrations and was a loyal friend to many.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Elizabeth Bailey, and his brothers, Tim and Gary Bailey.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy; daughter, Stephanie Bailey (Mike Bohannon); grandchildren Murray Pendergrass and Elizabeth Pendergrass (Daylen Haines); sister, Christine Bailey; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 12, at Lord Hill Farms, 12525 Old Snohomish Monroe Rd., Snohomish.
