Sharon Ann Durbin, 82, of Lacey, peacefully passed into the arms of the Lord on Sept. 23, 2024, during a procedure at Multicare Medical Center in Olympia.
Born on Nov. 19, 1941, in Minneapolis, MN, to Margaret (Mac Adams) Brulla and Robert Eugene Baker, Sharon lived a life filled with love and service. A long-time resident of Everson, she relocated to Lacey in 2022. Sharon married Francis “Bud” Durbin on May 10, 1989, in Everson, forming a partnership rooted in love and shared values.
Sharon earned her degree in counseling in 1983 and dedicated many years to helping others as a dependency counselor in Whatcom and Skagit counties. Her compassion and commitment to her work made a lasting impact on those she served.
Sharon is survived by her son, Craig (Jennifer) Williams; siblings Maxine Bol, Marlene Wilson, Linda Eck, Gladys (Alan) Lamberth, Gordon (Sharon) Baker, and Glen (Debbie) Baker; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Sandy Williams, husband Bud Durbin, and sisters Phyllis Dills and Marcy Norris.
Sharon will be remembered as a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend.
Her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
