Lola Osgood went upstairs to embrace her new life with her savior in heaven at the age of 101.
She was born in Lancaster, Wisconsin in 1922 to parents Rufus and Hazel (Thompson) Ellis. Lola married Clarence Osgood in 1943, and they made their home in the Lynden area.
Lola loved her family and was a wonderful homemaker. She spent time making memories with her children Bill Osgood, Ed (Joan) Osgood, and Nancy Peake (Doug); grandchildren Tami Brester (Bill), Chad Osgood, Vicki Oslund (Loren) and Kevin Osgood (Eugenia); Great Grandchildren Justin, Danica, Caden, Kaleb and Sam.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, in the chapel at Greenacres Memorial Park, followed by a memorial walk out to the graveside. An open house celebration of life reception was held at her granddaughter, Tami Besters’ home.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Gillies Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
