David D. Douma went to his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 12, 2019.
Dave was born Jan. 17, 1936, in Lynden to David and Jenny (DeBondt) Douma.
He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Gertrude (Westra); children Jane and Dennis Buys, Scott Douma, Leigh and Steve Olson, and Jill and Gary VanBeek; grandchildren Tess and James Flowers, Sadie and David Lawless, Rachel Olson and Jordan and Julie Douma, and seven great-grandchildren; surviving siblings Martha (Jack) Rexford and Case Douma; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Dave was an active member and former board member of the Puget Sound Antique Tractor and Machinery Association. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations to PSAT&MA, P.O. Box 255, Lynden, WA 98264.
The family appreciates the dedicated care of the Christian Health Care Center staff.
You are invited to join family and friends honoring Dave at his graveside service at 2 p.m. Friday, May 17, in Monumenta Cemetery with Pastor Steve Van Noort officiating.
