Mildred Stadelman, age 95, of Lynden, passed away on Dec. 26, 2018.
Mildred was born on Dec. 25, 1923, in Eastbourne, England. She was a war bride who married Walter F. Stadelman in August 1945 after she served on a fire brigade in World War II. After the war they lived near Orchards and then Brush Prairie in Washington state.
Millie and Walt enjoyed backpacking, canoeing and cross country skiing. Walter passed away in 1994. In 2015 Millie moved to Lynden to be near her son Robert of Lynden and her daughter Patricia Downs of Bellingham.
Besides her children, she is survived by her sister, Susan Farwell of LaPine, Oregon; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
