Our beloved Annette M. Belknap passed away unexpectedly Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, at the age of 53. She was known for being compassionate, caring and loving.
Annette was born July 8, 1965 in Vancouver, Washington, to Jack and Betty Piersma. She graduated from Lynden High School and then the Bellingham Technical College’s nursing program as a certified nursing assistant. Annette worked for St. Francis of Bellingham.
Annette enjoyed hiking, playing with her two cats, and her time with little Ava, her granddaughter.
Annette leaves behind husband Trent Belknap, of Bellingham; children Lindsey Vande Hoef, Landon Vande Hoef, McKenna Tjoelker and Haleigh Tjoelker; and granddaughter Ava Clemenson. Annette will be greatly missed by her mother Betty Piersma, sister Carole Kleinhuizen and husband Terry; and many extended family.
The memorial service was held on Saturday, Dec. 22, in North County Christ the King church.
